50 Cent Turns 50

From being the biggest breakout in Shady Records history to building an empire of his own, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson turns 50 with decades of success.

But no matter how high he climbed, one thing’s never changed: his bond with Eminem.

“He’s one of the best friends I’ve ever known in the world”, Eminem said in his Walk of Fame tribute to Fifty. “And I would say that it’s much more fun to be his friend than it is to be his enemy”.

Signed to Shady Records in 2002, 50 Cent remains the most successful artist Eminem ever brought into the fold: a fact Marshall has never been shy to celebrate. Em reportedly insisted on Fifty’s appearance at the Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2022, making sure his friend would not miss out on this monumental opportunity.

The two hop on each other’s tracks and projects and even share a Grammy for “Crack a Bottle” with Dr. Dre.

But the accolades don’t stop at music. Fifty has become a mogul in his own right, producing hit shows like Power, BMF, and Raising Kanan, all while keeping the wit, grit, and hustle that got him here.

Happy 50th to 50 Cent — a legend, a visionary, and one of the most unshakable forces hip hop has ever known.
