On “Gimme Dat,” Latto delivers a series of confident bars that many listeners believe reference Cardi B and their past issues. In the verse, she mentions PlaqueBoyMax while seemingly challenging another rapper to step into the booth.

The lyrics immediately caught attention because they appear to reference a previous exchange between Latto and Cardi B that many believed had already been resolved.
How the Dispute Started
The tension traces back to a leaked phone call that surfaced during a period when Cardi B and Nicki Minaj were publicly exchanging shots. In the audio, Cardi said she was not “p**sy ass Latto” after Ice Spice reportedly dissed her on a leaked verse.
Following the backlash, Cardi publicly apologized to Latto. She stated that she had nothing but respect and support for the rapper and emphasized that she valued their relationship. The two artists had previously worked together on songs including “ErrTime.”
In the same public message, Cardi also offered to buy Latto a new bag.
“I was ranting and hot at the moment but I fck with Latto HEAVY!! I respect everything about her including her team thats so sweet.. AND NOPE! I’m not too prideful to apologize to somebody I really respect so this my public apology and now ima privately buy her a bag,” she wrote.
