6ix9ine has pleaded guilty to violating the terms of his release from prison for a third time. As part of his plea, he admitted to assaulting a man over snitching allegations.

The Brooklyn rapper was accused of attacking someone for calling him a “snitch” at a shopping mall in Florida.

Speaking at the Federal District Court in Manhattan on September 25th, 6ix9ine told Judge Paul A Engelmayer, “Me and another individual hit a person, and I was wrong.”

Prosecutor Jonathan Rebold alleged that a “verbal altercation” occurred between 6ix9ine and another man who teased the rapper about working with the government against affiliated gang members.

According to The New York Times, Rebold claimed that 6ix9ine and another person knocked the man to the ground before kicking and punching him. When they realised the victim had a firearm, they fled the scene.

“This is now the third time before this court in the last year,” Rebold told the court. 6ix9ine’s lawyer, Lance Lazzaro, claimed he was “confronted by his history” and wasn’t looking for trouble.

As a result, 6ix9ine will be placed into home detention in Florida and is required to wear an electronic ankle bracelet. Despite the order, the judge told him that he was “sorry to hear that there are still people in this world who will taunt you.”

6ix9ine previously testified against two members of Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods, detailing the gang’s alleged operations. Both gang members were convicted, with prosecutors describing the rapper’s cooperation as “extremely useful.”

Members of Nine Trey were accused of murder, robbery, and drug trafficking as part of the racketeering conspiracy case.

He admitted to violent crime in aid of racketeering, firearms offences, and conspiracy. As part of his plea agreement, he was sentenced to just two years in prison.
