A Florida woman accused of opening fire at Rihanna’s Los Angeles mansion has pleaded not guilty to attempted murder and multiple related charges, as the case moves forward in court.

Charges and Allegations
Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, 35, is facing serious accusations after allegedly firing a semiautomatic rifle at Rihanna’s Beverly Crest home on March 8 at approximately 13:15 local time.
According to court documents, Ortiz is accused of attempting to shoot Rihanna, A$AP Rocky, their three children, and others who were present at the residence and a nearby property. No injuries were reported.
Court Proceedings and Bail
Ortiz entered her not guilty plea through her attorney during a hearing in Los Angeles County Superior Court. She remains in custody, with bail set at $1.875 million.
Her defense attorney requested a reduction in bail, but prosecutors opposed the motion. District Attorney prosecutor Alexander Bott argued that Ortiz allegedly fired around 20 rounds from an AR-style weapon, putting multiple lives at risk.
Ortiz is scheduled to return to court for a preliminary hearing on April 8.
Details Presented in Court
Prosecutors also claimed that Ortiz had a wig with her at the time of the incident, which they argue suggests planning. The judge additionally ordered that she is not permitted to work as a speech pathologist in California while the case is ongoing.
Additional Charges
Beyond attempted murder, Ortiz faces numerous other felony charges. These include 10 counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and three counts of shooting at an inhabited dwelling or camper.
Each assault charge corresponds to an individual she is accused of targeting. The listed victims include Robyn Fenty and Rakim Mayers—Rihanna and A$AP Rocky—as well as their children, Rihanna’s mother, and several others.
Incident and Arrest
Authorities allege that Ortiz drove to the property, fired multiple rounds, and then fled the scene. Her vehicle, a white Tesla, was later found about eight miles away at a shopping center in Sherman Oaks, where she was taken into custody.
What Comes Next
If convicted, Ortiz could face a maximum sentence of life in prison. For now, she remains detained as the legal process continues.
Representatives for Rihanna and Ortiz’s attorney have not publicly commented on the case.
