Lil Nas X was arrested on August 21st. The rapper, best known for his hit single ‘Old Town Road’, was detained for battery of a police officer and hospitalised after a suspected overdose.
The artist (real name Montero Hill) is currently being held at the LA Police Department’s Valley Jail section in Van Nuys.
According to reports, Nas charged at an officer in Studio City and was arrested before being taken to the hospital.
“This morning, around 5:50am, officers responded to the 11000 block of Ventura Boulevard for a nude man walking in the street,” Los Angeles Police Department Officer Drake Madison told USA Today.
“Upon arrival, the suspect charged at officers and was taken into custody. He was transported to a local hospital for a possible overdose and placed under arrest for Battery on a Police Officer.”
The news comes after Nas was spotted walking on Ventura Boulevard in his underwear and white cowboy boots. TMZ shared a video of the rapper talking to the person filming as he catwalked down the street.
This is the second time Nas has been hospitalised this year. In April, he suffered facial paralysis, resulting in the loss of control of the right side of his face.
“When I smile, this is me doing a full smile right now, by the way… it’s like, what the fuck,” he said in a video. “I can’t even laugh right, bro. What the fuck! Oh my God. So… oh my God, bro. So… yeah.” In the caption, he wrote, “Soooo lost control of the right side of my face.”
After posting the clip, he told fans not to be concerned about the incident. “Guys I am OK!!” he said. “Stop being sad for me. Shake ur ass for me instead. Imma look funny for a lil bit but that’s it.”
