A viral claim about Taylor Swift being the first artist since Prince to hold the No. 1 spot in the US for film, song, and album didn’t survive long online, thanks to Eminem fans and Community Notes.

Over the weekend, a wave of X posts celebrated Taylor Swift as the “first artist since Prince in the 1980s” to simultaneously top the US charts with a film, song, and album, following the release of “The Life of a Showgirl”.

The excitement was short-lived once the Community Notes feature kicked in, setting the record straight with a name familiar to anyone who knows a little bit of music history: Eminem.

As Stans have long pointed out, in 2002, Eminem achieved exactly that, and more. At the same time, he had the No.1 film (8 Mile), No.1 song (“Lose Yourself”), No.1 studio album (The Eminem Show), and No.1 soundtrack (8 Mile OST). Also, he’s got an Oscar for this song.

Soon after, the fan community joined in, flooding replies with reminders like:

“Eminem did it first”.
“Not true. Eminem had No.1 film, song, and album in 2002”.
“The disrespect is wild. Em got receipts”.

Some Swifties attempted to counter with selective chart screenshots, diligently avoiding the two weeks when it happened. Still, even those couldn’t erase the fact that Eminem had already made history over two decades ago.

The Community Notes correction now appears under the viral claim, confirming what Stans have said all along: Eminem did it first, and he did it bigger.
