Former Manager Big Fendi Alleges Nicki Minaj Was ‘Brainwashed

If someone were to inquire about the most accomplished female rapper globally, opinions may vary, but unquestionably, the list would prominently feature Nicki Minaj. She is widely acknowledged as the Queen of Rap.

Nicki Minaj worked with different managers and signed various contracts in her career. According to her ex-manager Big Fendi (Floyd Bentley), he claims that at one point, Minaj was brainwashed by Deb Antney, the founder of Mizay Entertainment, and her decisions were affected.

Nicki Minaj offered Fendi finder’s fee

In a Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club interview, Fendi shared that he met Nicki back in 2006 or 7 on MySpace when she went by Nicki Maraj. He also mentioned that he was the one who encouraged her to change her stage name to Nicki Minaj. Later on, Fendi stated that Nicki offered him a finder’s fee of $15,000 for everything he’d done for her before she signed a deal with Young Money.

He said, “I didn’t get nothing, Nah, Nicki tried to offer me a finder’s fee of 15,000. I laughed at it. Can’t be serious…Actually, I own the trademark to Nicki Minaj. I own NickiMinaj.com. I actually [own her trade]. So, in a minute you gon’ see a lot of things coming off those shelves.”

Nicki was brainwashed by Deb Antney

Fendi then explained that after her deal with Young Money, things started going wrong, he then spoke about Deb Antney, he said, “Debbie called me up two weeks later like, ‘Oh, I like your artist!’ We need to set up a meeting’…Nicki went out there, and then Debbie brainwashed her. Debbie got out there—Debbie got her little tactics. Debbie hit her with the ‘Nicki Minaj, I don’t know about that name. He’s trying to take you in the wrong direction.”

He further added, “So, I was like ‘Hold on, Debbie. You my homegirl. How you poisoning my artist after I put you on to her’… Meanwhile, my contract with Wayne/Young Money is still moving. So, basically, she tried to wait til my contract expired before she signed with Young Money… I still got that contract to this day!”

However, according to Deb Antney, she helped Nicki but the rap queen didn’t acknowledge her help and forgot about her. She even told that Fendi only wanted to use Nicki as a s*ex object.
