Ahead of his Detroit Opera House taping, Jimmy Fallon sat down to talk Ford, Motor City vibes, and gave Eminem a name-drop while sharing what comes to mind when he thinks of Detroit.
Jimmy Fallon brought The Tonight Show to Detroit, and ahead of his taping at the Detroit Opera House, he chatted with WILX TV about embracing Detroit while the show is in town.
“When you hear the word Detroit, what’s the first thing that comes to mind?” a host asked Jimmy. “I think of Motown, cars, Ford, Eminem”, Fallon said, giving the city a nod that fans loved.
Some even hoped the shoutout meant Em would show up on stage as a surprise guest. It was not impossible, since the rapper had joined Fallon before, on his “Recovery” promo circuit. But instead, Slim stuck to his weekend routine and made his way to the Lions game, leaving Fallon to carry the Motor City energy with other local stars.
