It’s rare to see celebrities helping their fans these days, but Lil Uzi is an exception. Back in 2019, Lil Uzi was just walking around the King of Prussia Mall when a fan named Raheel Ahmad came up to him and asked if he could help with his tuition. Uzi, being the generous person he is, promised to donate $90,000 for Raheel’s tuition on the condition that he finishes college. Uzi even tweeted later saying, “I told him he has to graduate why would i pay and you didn’t finish.”
Three years after Uzi’s promise, Raheel Ahmad graduated from Temple University with a bachelor’s degree in political science. On Thursday, February 24th, Ahmad messaged Uzi on Instagram to let him know that he had completed his studies and that it was time for Uzi to fulfill his end of the deal.
Did Lil Uzi pay for a fan’s college tuition?
Ahmad posted a video on his Instagram after graduating and said, “The time has finally come, I’ve made it through the four years at Temple, graduating with a 3.5 GPA. I’m sure you all remember this video of me asking Lil Uzi Vert at the mall if he could help pay for my college tuition. You may not know this, Uzi, but the day that we met at King of Prussia Mall on August 22, 2019, I was not in a good place mentally. But our one-minute interaction changed my life for the better. You have given me a sense of hope and optimism.”
Although it’s not very clear if Uzi paid for his college tuition or not it seems that the Goat kept his word as per a comment in one of Ahmed’s Instagram posts. The person in comment even states that Uzi also went to graduation ceremony.
