In the world of hip-hop, it’s common for artists to have disagreements and exchange words, often known as “beef” or “dissing.” Kanye West, like many other rappers, has had his share of conflicts, including some with the Canadian rapper Drake. So how did the beef between the two music giants start? well, fans have theorized that their beef started after Ye removed Drake’s verse from his hit song ‘All Of The Lights.’
However, it now seems that the long beef between these two stars has ended, well, that’s what fans have speculated from Drake’s new single ‘Search & Rescue.’ It seems that the Canadian star is dissing Ye’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian However, Drake’s father said that his son is not trolling or dissing anyone. However, today we are going to be talking about the time when Kanye trolled Drake with a beat.
When Kanye trolled Drake
As mentioned earlier, the rumored conflict between these celebrities began in 2010 when Kanye removed Drake’s verse from a song. In response, a few years later, Drake dropped a track called ‘Summer Sixteen,’ claiming he has a house in LA with a larger pool than Kanye’s. Later ‘God’s Plan’ rapper also started a feud with Kanye’s friend Pusha T. Furthermore, Drake dissed Ye on not one but two songs and he even trolled Ye during his show in Chicago where he said, “Kanye flopped.”

Kanye seemed to have been sick of diss tracks and the beef between the two artists. Then he seems to have planned something to troll Drake as he called Drake and said to give him a beat. Kanye even invited Drake to Wyoming sessions for his album. After listening to the beat of ‘Lift Yourself’ Drake loved it and after working together Drake left the studio being happy.
However, later Ye released ‘Lift Yourself’ where he just spoke non*ense. Talking to LeBron James, Drake said, “He played me ‘Lift Yourself’, and he was like ‘Yo you can have this if you want.’ I was hyped, and I started writing to it, and then he was like, ‘Yo, you gotta come to Wyoming!” He then added, “I’m in Wyoming. I play him ‘March 14’. I send him a picture of my son, and I tell him I’m having trouble with my son’s mother. I shared my life. The next two days, I wake up to this text from him, a passive…like..sends me something I did like ‘I Love You Brother’ then ‘Lift Yourself’ comes out with him just talking nonsense! This guy is trolling me.”
Ye later apologized to Drake on Twitter, and tweeted (now deleted), “Sending good energy and love to Drake and family and crew… I understand where the confusion started, Let me start by apologizing for stepping on your release date in the first place … We were building a bond and working on music together including squashing the issues with [Kid] Cudi at our office.”
He also then admitted that he was wrong and said, “Because we spoke about doing Lift Yourself together I should have given you the opportunity for us to do this together before I released it.”
