A$AP Rocky is reviving his beef with Drake. The Harlem rapper took jabs at Drizzy during a recent interview in response to a question about his feud with Kendrick Lamar.
Drake’s beef with Kendrick dominated the rap space last year. It involved many diss tracks between them, including the hit single ‘Not Like Us’, ‘Family Matters’, ‘Meet the Grahams’, and ‘Push Ups’.
Speaking to Elle about the feud, Rocky revealed he enjoyed spectating the back and forth, but was disappointed with the way Drake took legal action against Universal Music Group.
“It was healthy for hip-hop,” he said. “The battle was between Kendrick and Drake, not Drake and everybody else who might have said something at that time, and that’s mainly why I fell back. I just hate the way it’s turning out with [Drake] suing and all that. What part of the game is that? What type of shit is that? That’s none of my business, I guess.”
Drake sued his own label for defamation and harassment in January over their role in a song that, according to his legal team, “intended to convey the specific, unmistakable and false factual allegation that Drake is a criminal paedophile.”
Rocky previously took shots at Drake on Future and Metro Boomin’s ‘Show of Hands’ last year, as well as ‘Ruby Rosary’ featuring J Cole.
Drizzy dissed Rocky on ‘Family Matters‘, rapping, “Rakim talkin’ shit again/ Gassed ’cause you hit my BM first, n*gga, do the math, who I was hittin’ then/ I ain’t even know you rapped still ’cause they only talkin’ ’bout your ‘fit again.”
He continued, “Probably gotta have a kid again ‘fore you think of droppin’ any shit again/ Even when you do drop, they gon’ say you should’ve modeled ’cause it’s mid again.”
Rocky addressed his feud with Drake last August. “You got to realise, certain n*ggas was throwing shots for years,” he told Billboard. “I ain’t in the middle of that shit. That’s not how I retaliate right now. I got bigger fish to fry than some pussy boys.”
He added, “It is real beef outside. It is real. N*ggas getting really clipped and blitzed every day. N*ggas sniping n*ggas every day. That little kitty shit ain’t about nothing.”
