Cardi B released her new album, Am I the Drama?, on September 19th. The project came with a scathing diss track aimed at BIA titled ‘Pretty and Petty’.
Produced by DJ SwanQo and Sean Island, the song finds the Bronx rapper responding to BIA’s ‘Sue Me?‘ a year after it was released.
In the first lines of the song, Cardi raps, “Name five BIA songs, gun pointin’ to your head/ Bow, I’m dead/ That melatonin flow putting us to bed/ I’m doing you a favour, Epic, run me my bread.”
Later in the first verse, she continues, “I’d rather die on the surgery table/ ‘Fore I gotta walk around here lookin’ like you/ You wanna beef with me, are you sure?/ Do she even got a BET award? Ha.”
After taking shots at BIA’s relevance and looks, Cardi targets her family and the smell of her breath.
“You a fake ghetto bitch and I don’t like you/ Your mama used to fuck around with white men/ Disgusting/ Girl you triflin’/ I hate when a bitch think she cute ’cause she light skin,” she raps.
She adds, “Tell these folks what’s it’s really about/ Why you all on people’s face with that shitty mouth?/ Diarrhoea BIA, breath so stank/ You can smell her ‘fore you see her.”
BIA dropped ‘Sue Me?’ in June 2024, which was released in response to Cardi’s verse on GloRilla’s ‘Wanna Be’ remix alongside Megan Thee Stallion.
On the tracks, she spits, “Put her ass in the ground ’til she had to give me my flowers/ I was up in the Bronx and they said I’m good in the towers/ Put that shit on God that you ain’t change your face to mine/ I’ll get on your ass so I don’t have to waste no time.”
