RZA has a name in mind for Rihanna’s next baby.
The iconic rapper, 56, spoke with PEOPLE at the premiere of Nobody 2 in Los Angeles, Calif. on Monday, Aug. 11, and was asked if there’s another Wu-Tang Clan member Rihanna should name her third baby after. The “Umbrella” singer, 37, famously named her first son, now 3, RZA after the rapper.
“You know what? OBD, because you know the legend must live on,” RZA told PEOPLE, referring to his bandmate Ol’ Dirty Bastard,
In the past, RZA has shared how he feels like it’s a “great honor” that Rihanna chose his name for her little one.
The rapper, whose real name is Robert Fitzgerald Diggs, chatted with CNN in 2023 about finding out that the “Disturbia” singer named her son after him.
“[It’s] a great honor to know that there’s another generation that’s not even of my own household that feels the strength and the inspiration of that name,” he told the outlet.
“RZA isn’t only a name, it’s a title,” he continued. “So it’s an honor and I salute her and A$AP and their family. All the blessings in the world from me.”
The singer, who is pregnant with her third baby with partner A$AP Rocky, previously shared with Entertainment Tonight that while they might not know their baby’s exact name, they do know that it’ll start with this one letter.
“It’s always going to be an R name. That’s the one thing me and Rocky don’t fight over,” the soon-to-be mom of three said.
Earlier in July, a source told PEOPLE that Rihanna and Rocky are “thrilled” as they’re getting ready to welcome their newest little one.
“Rihanna and Rocky couldn’t be more thrilled to be growing their family again with baby number three,” the insider told PEOPLE exclusively of the pair. “They’ve really embraced this chapter and their bond has only deepened since becoming parents.”
Rocky “has been incredibly attentive and nurturing throughout this pregnancy,” said the source.
