Sean ‘Diddy‘ Combs’ fans celebrated outside the courthouse on July 2nd after he was cleared of racketeering and two counts of sex trafficking, meaning he won’t spend the rest of his life in prison. Bizarrely, those outside the court sprayed each other with baby oil, an item that was referenced throughout his criminal trial.
Combs was found guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, carrying a maximum sentence of 20 years. He was denied bail over the violence shown in the video of him assaulting Cassie and other instances after searches in the case.
Despite the Bad Boy rapper remaining in jail, fans gathered outside the court to celebrate the two-month trial’s conclusion, which was somewhat positive for Combs. Fans covered themselves in baby oil, with one female fan shouting, “I want the baby oil!” and experiencing a wardrobe malfunction, putting her breasts on show.
Notably, 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant were discovered upon searches of Combs’ homes last year. The oil was used during sex parties known as “freak-offs,” which Cassie said would involve hiring an escort to have sex while Combs watched.
While taking the stand in the trial, male escort Daniel Phillip recalled rubbing baby oil onto Cassie and massaging her while Combs sat in the corner masturbating. Phillip said he was initially unaware it was Combs because his face was covered with a bandana, but later found out it was him after he spoke.
Phillip claimed he was given thousands of dollars by Cassie the first time they met. He was then handed thousands more to return later, where they had sex and rubbed baby oil on each other. “He was always sitting in the corner masturbating,” Phillip said, adding that they occasionally swapped places.
In September last year, Combs’ lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, said, “I don’t think it was 1000 [bottles of baby oil]. I think it was a lot. I mean, there is a Costco right down the street. I think Americans buy in bulk, as we know.”
