T-Pain Is Heartbroken Over Death Of Ozzy Osbourne

T-Pain has said that he is heartbroken following the death of rock legend, Ozzy Osbourne, at the age of 76.

T-Pain covered the Black Sabbath singer’s iconic hit “War Pigs” back in 2023, which won the approval of Ozzy himself.

Osbourne wrote on social media: “This is the best cover of ‘War Pigs’ ever. Why didn’t you guys call me?”

T-Pain responded to the praise by saying: “You’re always invited. Top of the list, every time!! Thank you so much. Means a lot coming from the greatness himself.”

With Osbourne’s passing, T-Pain fondly remembered their brief online encounter and paid tribute to one of the founding fathers of heavy metal.

He wrote on X: “Heartbroken by the news. I was blessed to be able to cover War Pigs and get your recognition. Ozzy Forever.”

Osbourne died just weeks after his final live performance in his hometown of Birmingham, England.

In a statement, his family said: “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love.”

One rapper Osbourne did not have much love for was Kanye West.

In an interview last year, Osbourne blasted West’s antisemitism: “With the current state of affairs, you don’t need anybody starting people on discrimination of any kind. It’s wrong. It’s just wrong.”

He added: “There’s enough fucking aggravation, and he shouldn’t say anything [like what he has]. It’s wrong if you don’t say anything about him. I don’t want any of my work in any shape or form to be associated with anything like that.”

The row erupted after West sampled Black Sabbath’s “Iron Man” without permission on his Vultures 1 album after previously using the hard rock classic on My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy‘s “Hell of a Life”.

Osbourne confirmed that he refused to clear the sample of one of his most famous songs because of West’s antisemitic outbursts though the controversial rapper got around the issue by interpolating “Hell of a Life” which had been cleared to use “Iron Man”.
