The race to the American Idol finale is tightening—but one name keeps rising above the rest.
And at this point, it’s not even close.
Hannah Harper has officially taken control of the competition, and after her stunning “Landslide” performance on Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Night, the numbers are backing it up in a major way. Pulling in a massive 41% of the fan vote, she didn’t just win the week—she dominated it, marking her fourth consecutive time finishing at the top.

It’s the kind of momentum that’s hard to ignore.
In fact, calling her the front-runner now feels less like a prediction and more like a reality. Ironically, on the night she performed “Landslide,” that’s exactly what she delivered—a runaway lead that left the rest of the field scrambling to keep up.
Trailing far behind in second place was Jordan McCullough, who earned 19.7% of the vote for his powerful rendition of Queen’s “Somebody to Love.” Keyla Richardson secured the third spot with 11.8%, continuing her steady climb with a vibrant take on “Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I’m Yours).”
Beyond the Top 3, the gap widens quickly.

Brooks followed in fourth with 10.3%, while Braden Rumfelt landed in fifth at 6.9%. The lower half of the rankings saw Lucas Leon (3.7%) and Chris Tungseth (3.3%) hovering near the bottom, with Kyndal Inskeep (2%) and Daniel Stallworth (1.1%) rounding out the list.
But if this season has proven anything, it’s that numbers don’t always tell the full story.
Just last week, Philmon Lee placed second in fan polling—only to be eliminated during the live show alongside Rae Boyd. His exit shocked viewers, especially after delivering a strong performance that had been well-received by the judges.
It was a clear reminder: online buzz doesn’t always translate into votes when it matters most.

Rae’s elimination, on the other hand, felt more predictable after previously landing in the Bottom 2, even with a judges’ save giving her a second chance. Her performance bought her time—but not enough to secure her spot long-term.
So what does all of this mean as the finale approaches?
Right now, Hannah Harper stands firmly as the one to beat. But Keyla Richardson continues to build momentum, making her one of the strongest challengers in the field. Jordan McCullough’s consistent showings also keep him firmly in the Top 3 conversation.
Meanwhile, the danger zone is becoming clearer.

Daniel Stallworth and Kyndal Inskeep appear most at risk based on current fan support, while Chris Tungseth and Lucas Leon remain on the edge, needing breakout moments to stay in the race.
Still, nothing is guaranteed.
As the competition heads into Disney Night—with Jennifer Hudson stepping in as mentor—the stakes are higher than ever. At this stage, a single performance can change everything.
But for now, Hannah Harper isn’t just leading.
She’s setting the pace—and turning the competition into her own story.
